The Old Boys
definitely do it “a little differently” HERE’S a little
introduction… ;

Our 4 or
5 day “incursion” Tours are based in 4&5* Hotels (we call
“Staging Posts”) from here we explore the local area within a 3
hours radius, and there’s always a fully kitted out Support vehicle
on call. You simply Fly from your local Airport to be meet by The
Old Boys who will have transferred your bike (including your gear)
and be waiting to welcome you either at the Staging Post or if you
choose, the destination Airport, how often do you get the chance to
ride your bike from the airport ?… With the low cost of flights
these days you can be “in Country” in a few hours, and for less
than the cost of a train to London !–

You may even
decide to leave your bike at a Staging Post, fly home, and return
later, for a few more days riding in the sun, and/or ride on to one
of our other Staging Posts to explore a different area – “The
Staging Post Escapade”….

“Tours and Escapades” avoid expensive Ferries (rough crossing),
waking up at the crack of dawn, covering hundreds of miles in the
saddle, poor weather, security issues, the cost of adding thousands
of miles to your bike, paying endless Tolls, with multiple Fuel stops
and the gamble of dubious overnight stays, not to mention the
inevitable NUMB BUM !

Yes “Fly n
Ride” is an option if you like riding unfamiliar bikes, paying
hefty Rental Deposits, high Bike Rental costs, and the worry of
Excess Insurance Fees, and the stress of carrying all your Gear
through Customs, and after all that ….. it is not really the same
as riding your own bike and taking photos of you and
your bike in front of that erupting volcano, now is it !

When it’s
time to return to the UK we want to be left wanting more ! Not
be dreading the return trip home and being grateful that finally it
is all finally over when we eventually get there…???

What’s a “Staging Post” ???? The Old Boys have an ever growing string of 4* and 5* Hotels, we refer to as “Staging Posts” located all over Europe, we are always on the look out for recommendations so let us know your favourites ! Staging Posts offer a high level of accommodation, Secure Parking, great food, often Airport transfers, and a Base to explore the local Countryside from, often they are associated with other facilities like “Off-Road” Adventures, Track Days, where you can swap your bike for the day for something more suitable, together with a whole range of other activities, how about riding onto a beach for a BBQ and evening sunset ??

Where a Staging Posts offers Motorcycle Storage, you may decide to leave your bike there, fly home, and return a few weeks later whenever you wish, for a few more days riding in the sun, and/or ride on to another Staging Post and then explore that area – “The Stage Challenge”….

How easy is that !!!!!

Prices are on an “as you need” basis, and while The Old Boys arrange “Tours with Style” you are free to do whatever you like join us on a 5 Day Old Boys Tour with Style, we call these ”Incursions”, and after if you wish you can leave your bike at the Staging Post and travel to another Staging post on your own adventure later. Why return your bike to the dark, damp, misery of a freezing cold UK Winter, leave it at a Staging post and return for a long weekend when you like in the warmth, much better for you and far better for the bike – No worries !

OK, so what are “Incursions” ?? It’s a short 5 Day Old Boys Tour with Style ;

Watch the Website for details, they are random, Tours are based around planned day trips 2-3 hours in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon, with a Stop for Lunch, returning to the Staging Post in time for the very welcome Pool Bar…. These Incursions often coincide with Exhibitions, Motorcycle Shows (MBE, Verona), or Events such as Wheels and Waves, MBE Custom Bike Show in Verona with VIP access, and while every Incursion will have a “Purpose”, great roads to experience, it is most definitely not a race (that is for the Race Track, and we have access to them !) everyone ride at their own pace, we do not ride in formation, but together if you wish (usually in threes), life is easy and the scenery to be enjoyed, as it the Food.

There is no requirement to follow our Itinerary, everyone is free to do what you wish, there is always a Support Vehicle on the end of the phone, with emergency Medical, Workshop, and Fuel supplies..
