Rarely does the word “EXCEPTIONAL” have relevance, but in the case of this wonderful Triumph Tiger it is justified, and whilst the Market may be a little hard these days, we have priced the bike to reflect the extraordinary condition of this Tiger, you simply will not find another like this, having been fully and meticulously restored by a Craftsman, making this example simply breath taking. NO detail has been overlooked, she starts first time on the first kick. Using Electronic ignition, the original Advance and Points do come with the bike, as does the original Carburettor…..
We have an extensive history, V5, Dating Certificate and great providence to verify this bike.
The 1961 Triumph Tiger T100C is a rare and highly sought-after motorcycle that was a purpose-built, limited-production street/scrambler specifically designed to celebrate and compete in desert and enduro racing. With just over 600 units of the 1961 “C” models ever manufactured, it represents one of the earliest official factory “desert sleds”.
The T100C is powered by Triumph’s 490cc air-cooled, OHV parallel twin engine, the T100C was a semi-naked, stripped-down competition machine equipped with a higher-compression piston (usually 9:1), sportier camshaft profiles, and a smaller, sleeker fuel tank. The “C” (Competition) class was intended to be ridden to the track, raced, and then ridden home.
